NEW SOUTH WALES RECEIPTS £19,000.000 (From Our Own Correspondent) SYDNEY, Aug. 29. The New South Wales lottery office celebrated its ninth anniversary this week, with total ticket sales nearing the £19,000,000 mark. There have been 710 lotteries drawn. In the nine years, £18,978,747 has been handed ac r oss the lottery office counters or sent by mail from all parts of the world for tickets in the State's gigantic game of chance. Of this, £11,805,749 has been handed back in prizes, and the balance. £7,173,008, has been paid into consolidated revenue, primarily for the benefit of public hospitals. Administrative expenses total about £500,000. Each lottery now brings in £26,250, and prizes total £16,300.
