CRICKET
WAITATI CLUB At the annual meeting of the Waitati Cricket Club there was a fair attendance of members. The president (Mr P. Briscoe) referred to the excellent financial position of the club and of the successful season enjoyed last year. The election of officers resulted as follows: President. Mr P. Briscoe; vicepresidents —Messrs H. Bennett, J. Patton, and Crosby Morris; secretary, Mr J. B. Powell; club captain. Mr J. Kearney; vice-captain, Mr H. Blacklaw; auditor, Mr W. Robinson; committeeMessrs Briscoe. Powell. Connor, Kettle, Thomson. It was decided to open the season on September 28 at Bland Park.
