THE AMATEUR TITLE HOLDER ELIMINATED NEW YORK, Sept. 12. (Received Sept. 13, at 11 p.m.) Billows eliminated the defending champion. Ward, from the Amateur Championship, winning 4 and 3 in the quarter final. McCulloch defeated Fischer. Other survivors are Chapman and Wherle.
