SENIOR COMPETITION CLOSED WON BY UNIVERSITY A At a meeting of the Management Committee of the Otago Hockey Association Mr A. Barnes presided. Mr Barnes and Mr E. Rennick, managers respectively for the Christchurch and Gore trips of Otago teams, submitted reports, and it vas decided to forward letters of thanks to the Canterbury and the Eastern-Northern Associations for the.hospitality shown to the teams. The Senior Competition was declared closed with .the University A team as winner. The University Club was congratulated on i + ~ meritorious performance. In an endeavour to reach finality in the Junior Grade, it was decided to play on Saturday the round of matches In which University C is set down to play Y.M.C.A. and Albany B has the bye. It was decided to present the association cups and representative badges at a dance. DRAW FOR’MENS MATCHES The following is the draw for Saturday’s men’s hockey matches;— Senior Grade.—University A v The Rest, at Oval No. 1, at 2.45 p.m. (Messrs E. D. Brown and H. Sew Hoy). The" Rest team, which will play in white shirts, is as follows; —Goal: Carr (Albany); full-backs: Bedford (Albany), Lairfg (University B); halves: Gurr. Sotting (H. 5.0.8.). White (Training College); forwards: Stewart. Rennick, Gardner (Albany), Webb (H. 5.0.8.), Campbell (T.C.0.8.): reserves: Fail, Bond, Cuthbert. Second Grade.—A Section; University C v. Y.M.C.A., at Oval, at 2.45 p.m. (Messrs W. B. McQueen and P. Paterson); unofficial game; H. 5.0.8. v. Albany, at Tonga Park No. 3. at 2.45 p.m. (Messrs J. McKeeman and E. Dya£on); Air Force, a bye.
