HAMBURG BOMBED

MILITARY TARGETS FURTHER R.A.F. RAIDS METHODICAL DESTRUCTION (By Wireless.) DAVENTRY, Sept. 9. (Received Sept, 10, at 1 a.m.) While the Germans were bombing London for the second night in succession British bombers went on with the methodical work of destroying the sources of Germany's war power, which Mr Churchill has promised, will continue with increasing vigour until the war is won. Hamburg, an important industrial and storage town, was raided for more than three hours last night during which many heavy bombs and hundreds of incendiary bombs were dropped. The Germans admit the raid, but the statements that it was merely directed against the residential quarters is little more than a parrot cry.
