Reports of meetings ol branches are requested, but they should be furnished promptly for the publication of report that are not supplied withii, a week from the date of the meeting cannot be promised. The' Ratanui branch held its first meeting for the year on Tuesday last, Mrs Rodgers presiding. The roll call was, “The most enjoyable day in the holidays.” The competitions resulted: Preserved fruit—Mrs Craigie 1; flower —Mrs Rodgers 1, Mrs Sheed 2. The president made the presentation of a handbag to Mrs Anderson, who will shortly leave the district. ¥ Mrs H. Harvey presided at the monthly meeting of the Duntroon branch. The roll call was "Suggestions for the birthday.” The competitions resulted:—Marble cake—Mrs Muirden 1. Mrs R. A. Haugh 2. Mrs Petersen 3; print frock—Mrs Muirden and Miss Elvia Haugh (equal) 1; flowers—Mrs Brown 1. Mrs G. G. Sutherland and Mrs G. Gibson (equal) 2, Mrs Muirden and Misses E. and N. Gibson (equal) 4. The hostesses were Mesdames Fridd. E. K. Haugh and Miss H. Tallentire.
