Attending as bridesmaids were Miss Jessie Lockhart, of Clarksville, and Miss Margaret Robertson, of Otahuti. They were dressed alike in frocks of palest pink marquisette worn over a deeper shade of taffeta and made with draped bodices, small puff sleeves, and full skirts. Streamers of clover velvet ribbon fell from tiny bows at the ruched waistline. In the hair were w'orn sprays of matching flowers. Shower bouquets of pink asters and maidenhair fern were carried. The bride was preceded up the aisle by a flower girl and page boy (Judith Soper, of Te Houka, and Neville Moffat, also of Te Houka). The flower girl was gowned in a dainty anklelength frock of pink marquisette, while the page boy wore a magnolia satin suit with long trousers and a jacket finished at neckline and sleeves with magnolia lace. Supporting the bridegroom as best man was Mr lan Dallas, of Balclutha. Mr Arthur Moffat, of Te Houka, was groomsman, and Messrs A. J. Bowie and E. G. Perkins acted as ushers. At a reception held in the church hall the guests were received by the bride’s mother, who wore a frock of saxe silk romaine, a skunk stole, and a hat of navy chip straw trimmed with pink flowers. She carried a bouquet to tone. The bridegroom’s mother was dressed in a navy coat and floral frock, with navy hat. Her bouquet was of roses. When Mr and Mrs J. M. Moffat left by car for a tour of the North Island, the bride was wearing a teal suit and hat, navy accessories, and furs. The future home will be at “ Ellenslea,” Te Houka.
