Lady Halifax In Rome Lady Halifax, who has been visiting Rome with her son. was received in private audience by the Pope. She was accompanied by the British Minister to the Holy See. Later she also visited Cardinal Maglione. Secretary of State.

U-boat Prisoners The War Office announced the, names of nine more U-boat personnel who were now prisoners of war in Britain

Plane Bombs U-boat A coastal command plane which was patrolling the North Sea is believed to have been responsible for sinking the sixth U-boat since February 9. The plane dropped bombs ahead as the periscope of a U-boat disappeared, and later large patches of oil and bubbles- appeared. The plane flew over the scene for some time, but saw no further sign of the U-boat. Singapore Broadcasts
