EXHIBITION HORTICULTURE
The landscaping of the Centennial Exhibition grounds is now well advanced, and the presence of green turf and ordered flower beds lends an air of added attraction to the grounds and buildings. The flower beds and borders will be planted with 80,000 annuals, and 1000 roses have been planted in the vicinity of the main entrance. The Australian Pavilion will have a display of Australian trees and shrubs surrounding the building, and the United Kingdom Pavilion will stand amid English trees which will afford it a most appropriate setting. A collection of New Zealand, ferns in the special building is another attraction, and the native garden of New Zealand plants and trees is the result of donations from all parts of New Zealand.
