TOURIST RESORTS
SOUTH ISLAND COMPLAINTS LACK OF INFORMATION ALLEGED (From Our Parliamentary Reporter)' WELLINGTON, Sept.ls., The claims of the South Island tourist resorts were advocated by Mr J. Hargest (Opposition, Awarua) hi giving notice of a question to the Minister in charge of the. Tourist and Publicity Departments, Mr F. Langstone, in the House of Representatives to-day. Mr Hargest asked whether the Minister would give instructions to his officers in . the northern parts of the Dominion to render every assistance to tourists who desired to visit the South Island. Complaints were still coming from overseas tourists regarding the paucity of information about the South Island obtainable in offices such as Auckland and Rotorua.
