DEFENCE OF DOMINION

PRESENT SYSTEM INADEQUATE IMMEDIATE ACTION URGED (Per United Press Association) TE AROHA, Sept. 14 At the annual meeting of the Te Aroha branch of the Territorial Association the following resolution was unanimously supported:— “ That this branch, being fully aware of the inadequacy of the present defence system, urges that the adequate supplies and equipment required for defence of this land in case of sustained attack be secured that an equitable system of compulsory military training be instituted forthwith, and that this resolution be forwarded to the General Executive, with a request that it should take up the matter with the Defence authorities.”
