ASSISTED MIGRANTS
LAST YEAR'S LARGE TOTAL. (Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, January 9. Last year 33,689 assisted migrants wore sent to Australia and New Zealand, making, with those paying for their passages, 50,000, which is a post-war record. It included 12,200 for New Zealand. Assisted immigrants of all classes who went to Canada totalled 130,569, including 47,554 from Canada.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
