Signalising the completion of th« Taranaki Power Board’s scheme, the turbines are now generating current in Motukawa, supplying the whole area for the first time. The official opening will take place next month. WELLINGTON, January 10. Investigation into the burglary at Day's Bay pavilion, from which a safe containing over £7O was stolen, shows that the thieves must have entered the building by the rear about midnight, and carried the safe bodily through the back door round to the front, where it was placed on a motor vehicle. No one was disturbed by the marauders. The Seventh Day Adventist camp at the Lower Hutt broke up to-day after a very successful conference, which was favoured with good weather. Between 500 and 600 delegates attended from all parts of tho North Island.
