TIMBER, YARD FIRE.
POLICE MAKING INQUIRIES. (Pee United Press Association.) _ WELLINGTON, May 8. Mr E. S. Knight’s timber yard and joinery shop in Vivian street, which were destroyed bv fire on Thursday night, were insured with tho South British Company for £IB7O. The machinery was covered in the same office for £ISOO, ahd the timber and slock in tho Atlas Office for £4OO. " It is understood that the police are inquiring into tho cause of the fire.
