EAST TAIERI CHURCH.

A very successful sale of work was held in the East Taieri Church Hall on Thursday afternoon and evening. The Cadies Guild is to he congratulated on the degree of success attained, which eclipsed any orevious effort. Miss Sutherland and a band of willing workers worked unceasingly throughout the day, and were rewarded by a ready sale fdr the fine display cf goods on the stands. The Rev. D. M‘Cosh opened the sale in an appropriate speech. Out of respect to the memory of the late Mr Thomas Craig, the opening of the >ale was delayed one hour. Practically a “clean sweep’ of all the goods was made by closing time in the evening.
