The fortnightly meeting of the Mistletoe Lodge was hold in Green Island on -Tuesday, when A.D; Bro. F. C. Johns welcomed the G P., Bro. Churchill, officers and members of the Board of Management 1 .G. Presidents, D.P.’a Bros Faulds and Workman, of Nos. 1 and 2 Districts and A. Druids and members of sister lodges, who came to take part in the instaUat.onot P A Bro. D. Reid as D.P. for No. 2 District, and also to witness the presentation of a P.D.P. collar to Bro. Workman (Enterprise), the retiring D.P. The installation ceremony was carried out by F.D. l - tiro. Workman, assisted by P.D.P. Bro. BondThe Grand President presented Bro. Workman with a P.D.P. cellat, and spoke most highly of the manner in which Bro. Workman had carried out his duties, dhc enjoyment of the evening was considerably enhanced by songs and recitations contributed by Bro. j. T. Faulds (recitation). Bras. F. Morris, 0. Boa/ley, 1. Borrow, sen., Fowler, and Morris Lily (songs). A lengthy toast list was pone through, the toasts which were specially honoured being “The Newly-installed D.P.” and “Past District Presidents’’ (coupled with the name of Bro. S. A. Workman). The fortnightly mooting of Linden Lodge was held on Tuesday, A.D. Bro. Stewart presiding over a fair attendance owing to the wintry conditions prevailing. After the business and correspondence had been received, P.G.P. Bro. Sunderland and P.D.I. Bro. Walker gave their reports on the proceedings of Grand Lodge meeting held at Invercargill. The report was listened to with earnestness, and it was with a great deal of pride that Linden Lodge topped the list with the best average for new members In Otago and Southland. The delegates wore heartily thanked for their splendid report, and the rest of the evening was devoted to lodge business. The previous evening was ti night, and took the form of a progressive euchre party. The result of the competition was that V.A. Bro. Boardman and Mrs Rusbridgo got first prize with seven out of seven games, and A.D. Bro. Simpson and Mrs Scott the booby prize. At the last meeting of Otago Lodge A.D. Bro. Walker presided over a good attendance of members. Correspondence of importance was dealt with, the members taking a lively interest in the discussion. The bards reported on the sick brethren, and the sick pav was passed for payment. One candidate presented himself for initiation, the ceremony being ably performed by A.D. Bro. Walker, assisted by P.A. Bro. Madigan, V.A. Bro. Hope, and I.C. Bro. T. W. Dove. D.P. Bro. Faulds paid an official visit, and was received with honours. The mock auction was postponed until quarter night. A feature of the meetings for some time 'past has been the animated crib tournament, which lakes place after the supper adjournment. Bros. Brvant and Romeril fire in the lead, -with Bros. Drees and Maslin running very close.
