TREATY OF LAUSANNE

TURKISH OBSTRUCTION. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, May 7. (Received May 7, at 5.5 pm.) The Daily Telegraph’s diplomatic correspondent learns that Turkey is seriously obstructing the work of the mixed commission under the Treaty of Lausanne dealing with the question of delimiting the demilitarised swnes of the Straits. Turkey wants the zones reduced to such small dimensions as to afford no real guarantee of freedom for the passage of the Straits in an emergency.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
