CITY OF AUCKLAND.
TRAMWAY DEFICIT ANTICIPATED. (Pee United Press Association.' AUCKLAND, Mav 6. The retiring Mayor of Auckland (Sir James Gunson), at a meeting of the new City Council, stated that the Government valuation of the city’s capital value is £33,565,510. The rate struck for the ensuing year is 3s lOd, the same as last year. Estimates on the tramways account anticipate a deficiency of £23,435.
