The dominion conference of the Church of England Men's Society was opened with sen-vices at St, Matthew’s Church. Archbishop Avcrill was unable to preach owing to throat trouble, and his address was 1-ead by Canon Grant Cowcn. He paid tho men of the church were her bodyguard. They must strive for a great spiritual revival among themselves, and must keep a. high ideal ever before them.
