PRINCESS THEATRE.

The current programme nt the Brincess Theatre is a I.right and cheerful one, especially that, portion of it supplied hy (he Gayle Wyor Band Box Revue Company The revue presented by this combination is entitled “The Lady Buccaneers.'' The scene is the deck of a trim vessel named “The Chaffin’ Dish,” and he* crew are all of the gentle sex. No mere man is supposed to be aboard, but it is not long before several Aicmhers of the male persuasion put in an appearance Some interesting and amusing incidents are introduced, one being the attempts of a drunken sailor to stalk a duck, which possesses a quack ■ peculiarly its own Messrs Waller Cornock and Sam J. Ward are responsible for most of the comedy, and in this they arc ably assisted by Mr Bill Boris. Mr Gayle Wyer is also a tower of strength to the company as far as the dialogue is concerned. There are also some tuneful musical numbers, to which the female members of the company pay full tribute. The ballet is a strong one in the mutter of choruses and in dancing. The first half of the programme contains several good acts, the most recent one being that of the Two Daveys. The male partner is billed ns “the talkative juggler.” He is quite a skilled performer, and receives capable assistance from his partner. Miss Anita Slunvc, a personality comedienne, has the happy knack of making herself quite at .home with her audience. Her musical numbers were: "From One Till Two,” “Charley,” and “All Alone ” Cardini continues to mystify with clevei manipulations of cards, a wonderful golden ball, billiard balls, and coiouied handkerchiefs. Mr Harry Taft is a comedian of a type all his own, and the applause with which he was greeted shows that his efforts are appreciated. A good series f, moving pictures precede the vaudeville. The same programme will be repented this evening. \ ____________
