In 1923 the OhTcial Labour Party in Dunedin put up 13 candidates, while this year 23 seats were contested. The average vote per candidate standing for the Official Labour Party in 1925 was 3109 as against 3312 two years ago. or a decrease of 2C3 vot<- s per candidate this year. As against that. I, as a straightout workers' control candidate, opposed Inthe Official Labour Party's leaders, increased my vote by 389 as comparefl with 1923. In fact, the bitterness of the New Zealand Labour Party's" loaders towards me was such that on the recommendation of Mr Mark Silverstone, v. ho is the loader, or dictator, behind the scenes of thn policy of the O.L.R.C, Messrs Holland.
