SHIPBUILDING.
PROPOSED AMERICAN LINERS.
SCEPTICISM IN BRITAIN.
Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. . LONDON, July 31. Shipping circles are somewhat dubious about the commercial practicability of America's proposed • gigantic liners, the cost of which will be prodigious and is Estimated at at least £4,000,000 each. The promoters apparently are a syndicate unconnected with any big American lines, which, according to present information, are unlikely to build similar colossal ships. —A. and N.Z. Cable.
