SOLDIERS' PENSIONS
PROPOSED INCREASE. SEQUEL TO COST OF LIVING. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, July 29. (Received Aug. 1, at 7.35 p.m.) A committee of the House of Commons has reported in favour of an extra £20,000,000, to be utilised by adding 40 per cent, to soldiers' pensions to meet the increased oost of living since 1917.— A. and N.Z.
