FOOD AND COAL
INTER-ALLIED ACTION SUGGESTED. OPPOSITION IN AMERICA. PARIS, July 29. (Received Aug. 1, at 7.35 p.m.) The council of the Peace Conference is discussing Signer Tittoni's project for the formation of an inter-Allied economic entente to deal -with the world-wide shortage of food and coal.
The difficulty in carrying out the scheme is tho United States, which strongly favours complete liberty as a commercial nation.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
