(Ps» Uhitwo Pbxsb Association.) TIMARU, July 31. In the Supreme Court the case against E. F. Knight, who was charged with perjury at a fire inquiry at Waimate, was completed, and a verdict of not guilty was returned.

The rest of tho day was spent on a divorce oase—Crawford Strang v. Lillian Strang and W. H. Hunt (plumber), on tho ground of misconduct. There was a claim for £1000 against tho co-respondent. Strang left with the Main Body as a private, and returned as a lieutenant in March last. His wife's conduct in his absence led to the present suit. The case is unfinished.
