(Pas Dmitbd Press Assooiatiok.) AUCKLAND, July 30. Die body of John Chaafe, jun., was found floating in the harbour to-day. . The deceased was a well-known Auckland trainer, T 11 " was , a so* l of the veteran trainer, Mr John Chaafe, -who is now stationed at Hawiie's Bay. He leaves a wife and three children.

ELTHAM, July 30. A fatal motor accident occurred at Eltham this afternoon. Two cars collided and one containing Mr T. M'Queen, Mrs Frances .Helen M'Swcenoy, and her daughter (Mrs J. Potts), capsized. M'Queen and Airs Potts were thrown clear, but Mrs M'Sweeney was pinned underneath tho car. She sustained serious injuries, and died an hour later She was 65 years of age. The other car was undamaged.

An inquest was held on- the body of Charles Leslie Inwood, aged , 52 years a farmer at Upper Waitohi, who was found shot m Linwood Park this morning, and who died in the hospital. Evidence was gi-nsn that the deceased suffered from neurasthenia. A verdict was returned that the deceased shot himself while temporarilv of unsound mind. •

Eleanor Coventry, aged 11 years, who had been temporarily left alone in her parents' house at Sydenham, was found by a neighbour suffering from a gunshot wound in the abdomon this afternoon, and died shortly after admission to the hospital.
