Mr M. Bradley has, in response to numerous i-oquests, definitely decided to contest tne Dimcdin South seat in Parliament against all-comers at the general election. Mr Bradley will stand in tho Labour interest
CHRISTCHURCH' SOUTH SEAT. (Psb United Press -Association.) OHRISTCHURCH, July 30. Mr H. Holland, ex-Mayor of Christchurch was waited on .to-night by a large and influential deputation, and was asked to contest the Christchurch South seat at the general election. Mr Holland agreed to do so, but stated that they would have to take him on trust so lar as his political leanings were concerned, as he could not yet declare which party he would support' lie would not, however, stand as an "independent, as ho recognised that under the party system an Independent member was no use. It was announced that Mr Ell the sitting member for Christchurch South had definitely decided to contest the Lyttelton seut.
MASTERTON. (Pfiß UsUTJUi £-u KSS ASSOCIATION) MASTERTON, July 30. Mr William Candy, a grocer and a borough councillor, has been selected as the Labour Party's candidate for the Masterton seat at the general election.
