BACON FAMINE PROPHESIED
RESULT OF FIXING PRICE. * (Pza. United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, July 30. The action of tho Board of Trade in fixing the retail price of bacon is expected to result in a bacon famine, one largo company having decided to cease operations, owing partly, to tho fixin<r of the orice, and partly to this being the off season for pigs.
