The Chairman, speaking on the question of the Four-rink Championship, said the competition had provided some keen games, rhe executive' was well satisfied with its success. A number of tho different clubs, however, had not entered, but ho hoped they would join this year. On the motion of Mr A. H. Allen it was- docided to continue tho four-rink contest on the same lines as in tho previous season CENTRE TOURNAMENT.

It was decided to leave the matter of tho dates of the holding of tho centre rink and doubles tournaments to the executive. A "joton that tho rink tournament be held at Christmas and the doubles tournament at luster was defeated.

SCORING IN INTER-CLUB MATCHES. Mr Hay, moved, on behalf of the executive, that the recommendation of the executivo in connection with Saturday inter-club matchae bo adopted. The recommendation, was:—lhat the Balk system of play be adopted, comprising: (a) Sections of three rinks; (b) winning on points m each section; no ties; (c) counting by allowing two banner points for a majority of section wins; 1 point for a tie in sections wins. Iho speaker said the recommendation meant a partial reversion to the old Balk system, inasmuch as the idea was that sections should play sections. They were also indebted to the system introduced by Mr Wover. Tho winners of tSese eectiona would be found by a imajority of points. It was proposed that clubs entering an odd number of sections—five, three, or one— should score two banner poinfe if they won, a majority of sections, while clubs entering four or two sections should score two banner points if they won a majority of sections or one banner point if they won an equal number. The system had been submitted to a competent mathematician and his statement proved that the chances were absolutely equal. The executive also recommended that a match committee should be appointed to exercise more control than had bsen hitherto in vogue.' This committea would also decide whether games should be played in the event of bad ,vveather, and sko discover why a club had not fulfilled any engagement. If its reason were satisfactory then it could' be accepted; if it were not then the defaulting club would lose the match. The system proposed was extremely simple? and it appeared to him likely to give greater satisfaction than any other system. Mr P- Carotin seconded the motion. Mr D. M. Pastier went exhaustively and » clearly into the details of the proposed system.

Several other speakers spoke in. support of the new system. Finally the motion was canned unanimously, with the exception of the proposed scoring. t~«>~* Mr Jacobsen then moved that the section wins bo decided by rinks instead of by points.

Mr Fastier spoke strongly against rink scoring. Scoring by points stimulated the players to try right to the conclusion of their games. He could not see anything in favour of ex>ring by rinks. He moved as an amendment that they adopt the system of scoring by points. The amendment was carried by a large majority. CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS. It was decided that the champion of champions matches should be played on the same lines as last year. On the motion of Mr J. Allan, it was decided to instruct the incoming commitee to consider the advisabiltiy of inaugurating a rink championship contest Mr Hay moved that it bo am instruction'to the executive to make rules preventing clubs from nominating champions, that a club representative should be found by the result of play. Should any such representative not be able to play then the runner-up should fake -his place.— Tlhe motion was carried. DOMINION BOWLING ASSOCIATION. The location *&f president, race-president, and treasurer to remain aa provided at present in the rules of the association. For general executive business four to form a quorum." Mr Hay asked if the amendment jwas- in order. Mr J. Allan had moved that some alteration in the-constitution was desirable; Mr A. H.
