SALE OF WORK.
The Glenaven Methodist Sunday School opened a sale of work and produce last night, when brisk business was done. The |tev. H - -Ford, in declaring the sale open, said the net proceeds were in aid of the Sunday School Building Fund. Over £100 was already in hand, chiefly ara result of previous efforts. The Sunday school officers and a small band of helpers had worked hard to ensure success. The following- were in charge of the various stalls: — Produce, Messrs Anderson and Leach. Fancy work—Misses Hancock, PratW Gilhea, and Sparrow. Sweets—Misses V. Mayall, J. Watson, E. Sparrow. Tea room—Mesdames Anderson, son, Harvey, Pratley, Gibbs. Toboggan, Messrs T. Hopkins and E Hancock. Shooting gallery, Mr Jowsey. Eleetrio battery, Mr Lritt Gibbs Curios' Mr B. Sparrow. Mr Wilson provided amusement as "Aunt Sally." The sale will be continued this evening, when the Trinity Methodist Church Choir will render musical items. Last evening tho local string band rendered various items in good stylo.
