Opinions are divided as to tho possibility of work being resumed. One section probably will demand Thomas Walsh's release before accepting a settlement. NO SETTLEMENT REACHED. WALSH'S RELEASE DEMANDED. SYDNEY, July 29. (Received July 29, at 9.5 p.m.) The seamen unanimously decided not to resume work until Walsh has been released and all the union's claims conceded. MELBOURNE, July 29. (Received July 29, at 9.5 p.m.) A mass meeting of seamen ignored tho Disputes Committee's delegates present, and deckled that Walsh's release must be a condition precedent to settlement of tho strike. MELBOURNE SEAMEN'S DEMAND. RELEASE OF SECRETARY. MELBOURNE, July 29. A meeting of seamen decided not to resume work, and the strike is still on. Later. The seamen resolved not to accept any compromise until Walsh is released.
