SOLICITOR TAKES UMBRAGE. SUMMONED TO ATTEND, (Peb Uhited Press Association.) HAMILTON, July 29. _ There was a scene in the Magistrate's Court to-day. Mr Gillies (a solicitor) was asking ins client certain questions. The magistrate (Mr Burton) said he could not ailqw leading questions. Mr Gillies put the questions in another way, but the magistrate still held that the evidence was inadmissible. Mr Gillies then said: "Very well; I will leave the court." H e hurriedly left. the court, his client following . . rnagistrate said he did not care to give judgment in tho absence of the parties and adjourned the case. ' Upon resuming, Mr Gillies did not appear and the magistrate adjourned the court for half an hour and summoned Mr a PPcar. Upon resuming again, Mr Gillies was still absent, and tho jna-ffis-rat ® adjourned the case till August 19 Mr Lollies to be summoned to appear.
