MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

Toesdat, Jtru 29. (Before Mr H. Y. Widdowson, S.M.) Judgment was given for plaintiffs by default in the following cases:— Jeanette Mary Lawrence v.. John Hussey, claim £3 16s 6d, for rent (costs £1 17s), Hall and 06. v. W. R. Hill (Hamilton), claim £88 17s Id, for flour delivered (costs £4 14s Sd); Harraway and Son v. same, claim £87 7s Bd, for flour (costs £4 13s 6d).—Mr Moore and Mr Tonkinson, who appeared for the plaintiffs against Hill_ applied for immediate execution on the ground that a letter, in which tho defendant said he could cot pay his debts, really amounted to on act of bankruptcy.—The Magistrate said be had not enough evidence before him to justify that course. Plaintiffs could apiply for execution again.
