, 0 s°y- tho r °y ai entertainer and titled in Eurono as tho soldier magician vtJI make his first appearance at tho Kind's l.hoa.fcre at tho matinee this afternoon Le Roy is not encumbered with, any of the paraphernalia so often attached to su-li performers, neither is ho helped by assistants, but succeeds by reason of his cleverness in his execution of his new elusions one and all. A keen wit and ready patter serve to enhance considerably what is said to be a performance far above tho ordinary Lo Roy has fought along with the New Zealand soldiers during tie groat war, and was wounded on three separate occasion* dually boing blown up by a mine, and was buried in "No Man's Land" for several days and nights, causing him to lose his sight, hearing, and speech for seven months which faculties are oven now only partly restored, ho having lost permanently the sight of ono eyo and hearing of one ear. It was during these months of total blindness that Lo Roy studied tho art of legerdemain, and so export did he bccomo that ho gavo entertainments in many of tho hospitals in England and Franco, and by command he appeared before tho present King and Queen and several Royalties in Europe. In conjunction with Lo Roy the management will scroen a new and novel drama featuring Juno Caprice, entitled "Miss U.S.A." "Miss U.S.A." deals with tho spy system in America, and bosidos it has lovo interest and plenty of stirring notion. A fine supporting comedy will also bo screened
