. $ PARIS, July 24. (Received July 25, a t 8.55 p.m.) There was a sensational development at the trial of Louis Richard on a charge of betraying his countrymen in Lille to the Germans, including a schoolmaster named Jacqnet, who worked in conjunction with Nurse UavalL
Richard denied everything until a Red Cross director gave evidence concerning his pro-German activity. Richard then confessed everything, including espionage. —A. and N.Z. Cable.
