When My Boy Comes Home. By Mill OS A. Wrinkles and Grey Hair Must Disappear. Two years can make a great change in a woman's appearance at any time, but two years of war worries often adds 10 years to one s apparent age, and this was what tho two years during which her husband has been away had done to Gladys Summers. She had aged tremendously; little lines and wrinkles had formed round her eyes and deep lines around the mouth, and her hair had become tinged with grey. In fact, she was in despair aa to what tho man who had left her looking so young and fit would think of her when ho returned. Six Weeks to Effect a Transformation. When she came to confide her troubles to mo she had just six weeks in which to improve herself, for by that time he was duo home. Six weeks isn't long, but I felt sure that if she really tried 6he could make a -very great improvement. Removing the Wrinkles. To smooth out tlie wrinkles I made her get a little pure mercblised wax, and rub it gently into her face and neck every night, working the was into tho skin very carefully, and rubbing always in an upward and outward direction. Mercolised wax has the effect of greatly and imperceptibly peeling off all the old dead skin, aud with it the lines and ( wrinkles, which, as you probably know, aie only on the outer "skin and not beneath it as so many people think. Every night tho wax was applied ovenly all over tho face, and gradually the old skin and the wrinkles disappeared, and tho fresh young complexion underneath soon became apparent, soft, smooth, and clear. Restoring the Grey Hair. Hair dyes are an abomination; Gladys and I were both agreed on that point, and what was far more important, she was dreadfully afraid that if she used a dye, the colour might not be quite tho same aa her own. and that her husband would notice the difference. I advised fcer to get two ounces of tammalite, and to use it regularly for a "week. Tlie tammalite should be mixed with three ounces of bav rum, and applied to the roots with a small sponge. Once a fortiught I told her she must shampoo her hair, so as to keep it in good condition, and for this she used a dessertspoonful of stallax dissolved in warm ."water. After a stallax shampoo it is not neSessary to rinse the hair, as the hair is left soft .and silky _ with a natural wave, wb ich is most pleasing. The Finishing Tonches. Instead of using powder Gladys got an ounco of cleminite and dissolved ft in water. This she dabbed over her face and neck, and allowed it to dry on the skin, while, to give a slight colour to the cheeks, sho applied a little oolliandum with a piece, of cotton -wool. Colliandum is quite unique, as it cannot bo detected, and as the atmosphere of tho room grows warmer so the colour deepens slight, giving an absolutely natural appearance. ;
