Moro ttia.ii 400 vessels are held up in the harbour owing to the lack of crews, and the loading and unloading of ships is at a standstill.

AUSTRALIAN SEAMEN'S STRIKE.
FIGHT TO A FINISH.
ACTION AGAINST THE UNION,
SYDNEY, July 23. At a meeting of seamen it was decided to fight on to a successful conclusion. Two summonses have been served on the Seamen's Union charging the union with counselling members to strike, and encouraging the continuance of the strike.

CONFERENCE OF UNIONISTS.
MELBOURNE, July 23. (Received July 23, at 9.45 p.m.) The Trades Hall Unions' Conference agreed to endeavour to effect a settlement of the strike.
