The steamer Nugtret left the wharf crowded with passengers *for town, promising to return for the remaining passengers ; it was tben fifteen minutes to twelve o'clock p.m., she never came, yet .there was a full, complement of .passengers {it she ha*! come), with return tickets, and a few respectable- females amongst them forced to stan'l in the cold, ejecting the steamer, but we mv»hfc have waited till morning.
