TEMPERANCE CONFERENCE.

A Conference of the Friends of Temperance was held last night in Dr Burns' church; the Rev D. M Stuart, in the chair. ; The Rev Mr Smith, Gaol Chaplain, opened the meeting with prayer.- '. .
