DUNSTAN GOLD MARKET.

Mr Welsh, goldbroker, reports :— BnnV '"old-office, Hartley Township, iMth November, 1862. Gold hits been plentifully offered, and numerous large parcels have been sold, bnt many miners are still holding, not being disposed to sell at present. The high s'ate of the river prevents most of the claims from being worked,.and consequently very little gold is obtained from fhis source, the principal yield being from the numerous guliies daily openingl in the neighborhood. The samples are various, but all of a coarse nature, some having indications of reef gold. The finest and largest parcels are the produce of Pleasant Creek, eight miles from this township, down the river, on the western si::e, the gold being coarse and waterworn. The next escort will take down 11,000 ounces for the fortnight. Bank price for gold, L3 12s 6<l. The parcels sold" ori the average, are very large. The heaviest piece 1 have seen is a little over one ounce. Dnnstan, Saturday, • November 22nd, 1862. Mr George reports :— Gold lias been pretty freely offered during the past week, in which time I have bought some large parcels of rough nuggety gold. To day, however, there has been less than the average quantity, owing, I believe, in a greitmeasure to the excitement caused by the return of Mr Fox. I have no doubt but that Monday's sales will bring it up to the lull average. I had this evening a lot of about 1 cwt of quartz in which the gold was distinctly visible, and which appeared to be extremely rich, ottered to me for sale, but not having the means here of crushing I declined buying. The man who wished to sell informed me that he broke the lot off die rocks cropping out of the ground, within a few miles of this, but declined telling me the whereabouts. This leaves little doubt in my mind but that there are rich quartz l-eefs in this locality, to be found by men of experience, and the means of prospecting.
