{To the Editor of the Daily Times.; , v Sir, -In consequence of my letters which you kindly ; inserted on the lOthinst, and in your Saturday's edition, I Ihe Government have condescended to put up printed • boards, in two places at Pelichet Bay, forbidding any i one erecting permanent buildings on Government :. grounds, without permission, still that has nothing to . do with regard to the present stores erected thereon. ; According to that, I suppose it must be taken for ■ granted, that tlie present stores have got Government j sanction to remain unmolested, and that the legitiI mate traders must grin and bear, ("to wit pay rent .and all taxes,") while they on the reserves can carry ; on business, undersell the taxed trader, and set tho ; Jaw at defiance. One of the storekeepers on the re- ■ serve, says that the ground belongs to the General ;. Government, and Jtliat the Poovincial Government ;. etnnot put them off the reserve. Trusting lam not : troublesome, I am, &c,
