A CORRECTION.
(To the Editor of the Daily TimrsJ Sir,— I was very much astonished in reading your report of *h. j case Adam v M'Loughlin, which" was heard in the Resident Magistrates' Court on the 11th of this month. Your reporter states that the cause of the assault was that I was owing Mr M'Loughlin money, and when they came to ask for the money it was refused, and on Hiat ace >unt rose the quarrel. The real facts of the case are as follows :—Mr M'Loughlin has bean owing, me the sum of fiftythree pounds for goods obtained when I had a storo in Princes-street, which has never been settled ; and recently I have agreed with Messrs James Paterson and Co. to lease the house. formerly occupied by Mr. M'Loughlin ; and fcince then there has been no peace or quietness. My wife and the whole of my children had to leav« the house at twelve o'clock at night and go to Mr M'Coll's, at Green island, for protection. I am sorry to trouble you with this letter, but as the public might think that according to your report that I owed Mr M'Loughlin money, I wish to show that the reverse is the case, which I am ready to prove, and my books will show. I am, yours truly, David Adam, Latsstorekeeper iv i/iiuces-street. Saddle Hill, 12th November, WM.
