Disorderly,Conduct.—Michael Kean and Samuel strange werv charge I oy Constable Barrett with having b;;en guilty of di-orderly conduct calculated to provoke a breach of the- peace The prisoners were fined 20a- and costs, or 48 iiours iinpmoment. A. Scoundrel.—Robert OU-laud was charged under the Vagrant Ordinan c wifh having, at 4 o'clock on the morninsr of the Goh instant, broken op-n the tent ■of Mary Glied with intenc to commit a felony. Mr ward appearel for the prisoner. The proseeiitrix, a respectable, good looking woman who lia-ta child in her ann 3, deposed that the prisoner, who lived in the adjOKiinjr tent to hers, had during the day of the sth inst, several times come into her tent and used indecent language to her. On the morning of the Cth she was awoke about four o'clock l>y hearing a noise in. her tent, and she discovered the prisoner crouched on his bauds and knees at the foot of her bed. She immediately uttered an exciamatiou of alarm, and jumped out of bed, nnd the prisoner slunk out,' and she watched him return to his own tent; she afterwards'sjave the prisoner in custody. She.inras positive the prisoner was the man. -i The charge was clearly proved, and evidence' was also given of--the prisoner's antecedents, which were prove! to,have been bad. He had been before this Court only a few days before, and discharged with a caiuion. His Worship sentenced him to \i days imprisonment,- with hard labor. John Smith, brought up on remand for stealing money from a tent, was discharged. Neglecting Horses.—Wm Lenan was fined 20s. and "costs for leaving his horse and dray without proper control, and afterwards abu ing tne police constable. : . • . . ;: Nuisances.—lnspector Nimon reported several abated c-ises, and laid ad information against Mr G. Mr O'Driscoil had lately bought a piece of ground adjoining a bowling-house and some stables, the occupants of which made the ground fcha' receptacle for all their filth iaud xefuse. Mr O'Driscoll being willing to curt earth ou to the place and cover the refuse, the case was adjourned. The: Magistrate, vx reply to a question from the defendant, said that he had clear ground for. a civil actiou against the persons thr >wiug refuse on his land. I
