The Hobart Town schooner Pilot returned inside the Headslastnight. Indoingsogotfoulofthe Alice Thorndike, tore mainsail, and carried away maingaff. Is repairing. New channel found at entrance of harbor, narrow, but 18 feet deep at low water. Has to-day been temporarily surveyed by Captain Thomson and pilots. Is situated to northward of old channel. Time and Truth, drawing 18£ feet, came up at halftide.
