Business is no brisker than we last reported it. The rusi.'to the new diggings still continues to absorb the attention ot ali classes, and at present there is no extra d.-Tnand for goods. Several ve-sels from Britain are now due. and we 'may »'otf* tbe following as having sai'ed for Otago :— April 80. —Grasmere, 432, from Ciyde. May 22.— Planter. 324, from London. J.me 3.— Flying Mist, 1204, from Clyde. June 10. —Robt. Henderson, 599, from Clyde J nne 13. -Cheviot, 1C65, from Clyde. June 17.—Bombay, from London." June 18.—Jura, from Clyde. The Carlotta is also daily expected from New York with a useful supply of Yankee notions. At CJyde, the Aboukir, Broomielaw, and Sevella were advertised for Otago, and atLondon tbe Scoresby, Star ot Tasmania, Echunga, Chili, and Sarah Anne werpnp. Many passengers were leaving Britain for this place, but we have only authentic information of the numbers by the Robert Henderson and Jura, which were ° 234 and 302 respectively. There is no alteration to report in our local market. As soon a* definite news arrives from tbe" Dunstan" some change is likely, but in the meantime, everything is very qniet.
