ORIGINAL CORRESPONDENCE.

{To the Editor of the Daily Times). Sir,—Permit me to call attention to another shameful neglect on the part of the Town Board, viz. • the impenetrable darkness of Stufcd, Hope, and Walkerstreets. Did it never occur to those Municipal Legislators that there is " no respect of stretts" with the sun and .noon. How is it that while other streets are beautifully illuminated, we unfortunate are left ia total darkuess. Iv all conscience it i-s bad enough to be compelled to stagger to and fro up to the thighs in mud in the day time, but to be compelled to do so in pitchy darkuess, is too much for our patience, although, we hud descended from the loins of the man ot N.Z. I am, &c, _ , . , W. Hooper. July 30th.
