Uillbkd District, is hereby altered from the 31st instant to Tuesday, thelsth'day of April next, on which day applications will be received at the Land Office, Buuedm, and at the Commissioners Camp, Titape/tii. I lie decision, on which applications will ba given on Wednesday, the Ith day of May next, when ths Sections will be put up to Sale by Auction, at lh« Camp, Tuapeka. . Forms of applications may be obtained gratis on application at the Commissioner's Camp at \\ aipon, Waitnhuna, and Tuapeka, where maps of the liliock may be seen, and copies of the maps may be purchased of Mr. Livingston, Stafford-street. Dunedin, *nd Mr. J. Maekay, Gabriel's Gully and Waipon. In consequence of the misapprehension of the nature of the Otago Land Regulations by persons lately arrived in the province, the public arc informed that, in order to bid at the Auction of the Sections m the above-mentioned Blocks, they must make application on the loth day of April next. The making an application involves no responsibility, and the applicant is not obliged to take up any of the land applied for unless he becomes the purchaser at the Sale ; and it is usual to apply for the whole Block, as the applicant can only bid for those sections for which he has applied. Blocks iv. akd v., Hillekd District, are situate on the north bank of the Uutlia River, are within 12 miles of the Gold-field, and on the high road to the diggings from the South, lhe Clutba River is navigable for Steamers drawing -1 feet water, to a point above the land now open for application. CCOMMODATION HOUSE FOR POPOTUNA.—It being the intention of the Government to grant a Leaso of 30 Acres of Ground for the erection of an ACCOMMODATION HOUSE, at Ponotuiia, on the great South Read. Tenders will he received at the Ofiice of His Honor tbe Superintendent, Dunedin, on or before FRIDAY, the 9th day •f May, ISG2, from parties willing to erect said House. A good Stable for at least S Horses must also be srected. A Plan of the whole to accompany the Tender. Tender to state how much Ground Rent "will be paid. The usual License Fee must be paid for the Lioense to sell Spirits. The Lease will be for one year, but will be renewed from year to year, if the House is conducted to the satisfaction of the Government, as respects charges and Otherwise. If the Lease is not renewed, however, the property erected with the sanction of the Government will be taken at a valuation. The building must be erected within two monthsafter the acceptance of the tender, and fifty pounds must be lodged with the tender as a guarantee for the fulfilment of the engagement.
