DISTRICT PRIZE FIRING.
Tho Hampden Volunteers competed for the district prizes at the local range on Thursday." The weather was altogether unfavorable for shooting, though the light was dull, but the scores were comparatively poor, several of. the best shot 3 of the corps being absent. The following are the scores :
The Qtepopo Company fired this morning at half-past five o'clock. Tho -weather was splendid for rifle shooting purpose, the light, though dull, being steady, and there was not a breath of wind. As a consequence the shooting was good, and the company will take a fair a hare of the prizes. The following are the scores :
