Per Merchant Shipping and Underwriters Association.—Arrived—Sanarakind, from Lyttelton (Sept. 8); Silver Eagle, from Lyttelton (Sept. 9.) The latest intelligence to hand from the Cape states, that the Boers are threatening rebellion. This, however, is not expected to take place. At a Cabinet Council held to-day byMinisters, Mr, W. E. Forster, Chief Secretary for Ireland, insisted upon adopting coercive measures in Ireland, immediately upon the meeting of Parliament.
