(by telegraph.) Auckland, November 4. An important case came on to-day in the Resident Magistrate's Court—Wiliamson v. Lees, claim L 25 12s, on account of a life insurance with the New Zealand Provident Association. Plaintiff was the husband of Matilda Williamson, and claimed as administrator of the estate the amount of the assurance policy on her life, The defence was that the woman

was in bad health at the time of filling up the proposal, and liadiJaen continually ill two yeara before her death."-Dr. Philson deposed that she was • suffering . from aneurism of the aorta. It was incurable and impossible for a.person suffering from it to be in good health. Fred. Wright, trustee of the Society, deposed that the policy would-not have been issued had it been known that the; woman was suffering from the disease described by the doctors that day.
